Climb Description
Agua de los Perros (literally meaning 'water of the dogs') is an enjoyable climb in the Sierra de Cazorla mountains in the north of the Andalucia region. The scenery is picturesque and the whole mountain range is very quiet, making it a great place to ride if you like to get away from the crowds. The climb itself feels like a proper climb, without being too challenging. It begins with a series of fun hairpin bends through olive groves, before the scenery becomes more remote and wild towards the top of the climb.
Agua de los Perros is nominally open throughout the year, however it can be closed for short periods in winter due to snow.
Roads & Traffic
The road has been resurfaced quite recently and is now a fairly smooth surface for riding. However, there can also be quite a lot of fine gravel in places, which demands extra care when descending.
Traffic is pretty much non-existant throughout.
