Climb Description

Gaucin is a pleasant climb with reasonably challenging gradients and nice scenery, overlooking the Bermeja Mountains. This ascent finishes at the town of Gaucín; however, it is possible to continue to the Puerto del Espino. The downside is that, after Gaucín, the road becomes a bit busier and is not quite so relaxing for riding!

The climb to Gaucín is open throughout the year.

Roads & Traffic

The road surface is in good condition and there is little traffic throughout.

Alternative Routes

Gaucín can be climbed to via the route to Puerto del Espino beginning in from the San Pablo.
