Climb Description
This is probably the more spectacular of the two ascents to Haza del Lino. You enter the mountains immediately after leaving the coast and the road is beautifully isolated as it winds up the mountain. There is not a lot of vegetation on the first part of the climb, due to the arid nature of the area, but the rolling hills and the coastline provide a great backdrop. At the top you will see more signs of agriculture around Haza del Lino, including vineyards which produce excellent wine.
The climb to Haza del Lino is open throughout the year.
Roads & Traffic
The road surface is generally in good condition. There are areas where it has been relaid and other sections where it is a bit rough, but it is no problem at all to negotiate on a road bike.
There is very little traffic on the climb.
