Climb Description

La Cabra Montés is a picturesque viewing platform on the eastern edge of the Almijara Mountains. The scenery is similar to many climbs in Andalucía, with olives and pine trees both competing for space on the rocky terrain.

This is not a spectacular climb that is worth going far out of your way to climb, but if you are already in the area it is well worth doing. It is open all year.

Roads & Traffic

The road surface is in good condition and there is little traffic throughout the climb.

Alternative Routes

You can continue climbing from La Cabra Montés, heading north on the A-4050 road. From the viewpoint it is more rolling, with very gentle gradients, but does ascend to over 1,300m altitude.
