Climb Description
The climb to the village of Moclín is quite short, and also one of the most accessible in the Granada region. It finishes underneath the 14th century hilltop castle in Moclín and has excellent views as the road climbs via series of hairpin bends. The ascent from Tiena is the most challenging way to get to Moclín , although the consistent gradients make it possible for cyclists of most levels. The highlight on this side is the fantastic views across to the giant Sierra Nevada mountains, which look especially impressive when they are capped with snow in the winter months.
Roads & Traffic
With the exception of a short stretch through the village of Tiena, the road is in good condition throughout, and there is little traffic on the climb.
