Climb Description
Parapanda is a fairly short but popular climb in the Granada province of Andalucia. Situated near the scenic town of Montefrío, it is a great option to include as part of a longer rider around the area. The climb is mostly steady and gentle, and the steepest section is coming through the town of Illora. The scenery is typical of the region - a mixture of olive trees and wild, open terrain, which is picturesque without being spectacular.
The climb is open all year.
Roads & Traffic
The road is in good condition throughout. There is some traffic until the town of Illora, but it becomes almost non-existant once the real climbing starts upon leaving the town.
