Climb Description
Peña Escrita is a pleasant climb into a small Natural Park situated to the south of the much larger Tejeda Mountains. The climb is set among pictureque scenery, with some impressive coastal views, although it is most notable for its steep gradients. There are a lot of stretches where it gets up to 20%, making Peña Escrita one of the toughest cycling climbs in Spain. The biggest disadvantage is that it is difficult to connect with other climbs, particularly if you wish to avoid the busy coastal roads in the area.
Peña Escrita is open throughout the year.
