Climb Description
Peñas Blancas from is one of the iconic cycling climbs in this part of Andalucia. From Jubrique, it is long and quite gentle, but with a beautiful road surface and sinuousy curves which make it thoroughly enjoyable.The climb has featured in the Vuelta a España and is sure to be used again many times in the future, with the mountains of Málaga continuing to grow in popularity.
From the Peñas Blancas pass, it is also possible to climb another 5.5km to the TV tower at Los Reales (7.7% average gradient). This short extension offers even more spectacular panoramic views.
Peñas Blancas is open throughout the year.
Roads & Traffic
The road surface is in very good condition and there is little traffic throughout the climb.
