Climb Description

Puerto de las Abejas is a climb on the edge of the Sierra de las Nieves mountain range in the province of Málaga. It is possible to do the climb as part of a longer route from either Ronda or the city of Málaga, and is best included with other ascents rather than as a standalone climb.

The climb through Alozaina is the more scenic side to Puerto de las Abejas. It is a long and gentle climb, but with largely open views, which are particularly enjoyable when looking to the west towards Sierra de las Nieves mountain range. The good road surface and relative lack of traffic all add to the enjoyment of the climb.

Puerto de las Abejas is open throughout the year.

Roads & Traffic

The road surface is in very good condition throughout and there is generally little traffic on the climb.
