Climb Description
Puerto Lope is a gentle climb in the Granada province of Andalucia. It climbs up to the village of Puerto Lope, along the main N-432 road between Granada and Cordoba. It is situated in between several good climbs, but unfortunately it carries too much traffic and is not enjoyable to ride.Puerto Lope is open throughout the year.
Roads & Traffic
The surface is in good condition.
This is the main road between the cities of Cordoba and Granada and, as such, carries a lot of fast moving traffic - including trucks. There is a reasonable hard shoulder in places, but it also disappears at times and leaves you amongst the cars. We recommend avoiding the climb because of this - there are much better alternative routes in the area.
Montefrio
Parapanda
Moclín
La Alfaguara
Puerto Lobo
Collado de Quéntar
Pico Veleta
Below you can find links to this and some of the other mountainous tours that we run.
We can also arrange customized tours in the Sierra Nevada mountains and the surrounding region. If you would be interested in this, please contact us to discuss the options.
