Climb Description
Puerto Padrona is one of the longest climbs in the predominantly flat Sevilla region of Andalucia. It crosses the scenic Sierra Norte mountains with quiet and pleasant, if slightly unspectacular scenery. The ascent from the Pintado Reservoir (Embalse del Pintado) is the more remote of the two sides and the slightly more rewarding in terms of scenery. The climb in this direction has gentle gradients throughout and heads east across the Sierra Norte hills towards the historic Via de la Plata route.
Puerto Padrona is open throughout the year.
Roads & Traffic
The road surface is generally in good condition, although a little rough in places. There is little traffic throughout the climb.
