Climb Description
San Cristóbal is not a particularly famous cycling climb. It has not featured very often in any serious races (if at all!). Nevertheless, it is one of the most challenging climbs in the province of Huelva. It is reasonably long, has steep gradients and offers some nice views from the summit. San Cristóbal will never be talked about amongst Spain's greatest climbs, but if you are in the area and are looking for a decent ascent, then this is probably as good as you will find in the Huelva area.
San Cristóbal is open throughout the year.
Roads & Traffic
The road is in fairly good condition until Almonaster. The second half of the climb, after turning off the HU-8105 has been resurfaced relatively recently and is in good condition now for the most part. However, it is prone to mud, sand and gravel finding its way onto the road.
There is little traffic on the climb.
