Climb Description
Aixàs is a cycling climb in Andorra. It is fairly short with steep gradients and climbs to the small hamlet of Aixàs, perched high up on a mountain near to the border with Spain. The first part of the ascent is the same as the Coll de la Gallina, before turning off at the village of Bixessarri.Aixàs is a fairly scenic climb, although much of the ascent is in trees and you only get great views on the last few switchbacks. It is a nice extension to a longer route, rather than a great climb in itself. Aixàs is open throughout the year, subject to weather. Short term closures are not uncommon in winter.
Aixàs is usually kept open throughout the year.
