Climb Description
Arinsal is a nice climb to a ski resort close to the border with Spain. The climb actually begins in Andorra la Vella, but the road between here and La Massana has several tunnels which are not good for cycling. If you are in Andorra la Vella - it is best to get to La Massana via the La Massana via the Collada de Beixalis - this is a safer route to take, but also considerably more challenging. The first 3km from La Massana to Arinsal are also the same as the start of the climb to Port de Cabús.The scenery is relatively uninspiring as far as the town of Arinsal - which is also home to one of the steepest parts of the ascent. However, after passing here the scenery begins to open up and the trees give way to reveal some fantastic views back into the valley.
Arinsal is open throughout the year, but is best cycled between June and October.
