Climb Description
La Colladona from both sides is popular with cyclists in this part of Asturias. It is not especially challenging but the climb from Pola de Laviana is very scenic, as it passes through rolling green conutryside. This is an easy climb, and a good choice if you would like to do a gentle route, or to include it as part of a longer ride before tackling one of the tough climbs nearby.
La Colladona is open throughout the year.
Roads & Traffic
There is little traffic throughout the climb. The first few kilometres are the most busy, with a few cars coming past, but nothing too bothersome. After the village of Tolivia it becomes very quiet.
