Climb Description
Arantzazu is a popular cycling climb in the center of the Basque Country. The scenery is typical of the region - very green and largely forested - and it goes into the heart of the Aizkorri-Aratz Natural Park. The climb is steepest in its first few kilometres before settling into more of a steady rhythm, and it is an enjoyable climb.Arantzazu begins from the historic town of Oñati - home to an ancient Basque university which is one of the oldest on all of the Iberian peninsula.
Arantzazu is open throughout the year.
