Climb Description

Iturburu is a gentle climb in the Guipuzkoa province of the Basque Country. It is a popular climb with cyclists and has been used in recent editions of the San Sebastian Classic cycling race. It gradually ascends through pleasant green countryside, finishing at a narrow pass under a bridge. Alto de Iturburu is a great climb to include on a longer route in the area.

Alto de Iturburu is open throughout the year.

Roads & Traffic

The road is in very good condition and there is little traffic throughout the climb.

Alternative Routes

Iturburu can also be climbed from the west - starting in Tolosa.
