Climb Description
Puerto de Lumeras is a small climb which would barely merit a mention if it did not stand in the shadow of the great Ancares. The scenery here is pleasant, rolling green countryside and the road surface is in good condition, making it an enjoyable ascent on the edge of the Ancares National Reserve. It is most noteworthy, however, for acting as a warm-up before you tackle Ancares from the east. This is the side that you will descend before Ancares or climb after it if you are doing a circular route starting in the west.
Roads & Traffic
The road is in good condition throughout and there is little traffic on the climb throughout the year.
