Climb Description
O Cadramón is a picturesque climb in the Xistral mountains, close to the Atlantic coast of Galicia. It is a tough climb with a poor road surface, some steep gradients and often a strong wind all adding to the difficulty. The climb is mostly in trees on the lower slopes, but becomes very attractive towards the top of the climb, where even the wind turbines detract little from the beautiful green scenery. As in much of Galicia, there are small roads everywhere around the climb, meaning there are a multitude of ways to reach the top and several summits on the top of the mountain itself. However, this is the easiest to follow as it goes to the very top of the highest peak in the Xistral range.
O Cadramón is open throughout the year subject to weather. In all seasons this area receives a lot of wind and rain though, so it is important to come well prepared.
Roads & Traffic
The road is in quite poor condition for much of the climb. In places it has been repaired and is good for cycling, but other sections contain holes and the surface is very rough.
There is very little traffic on the climb.

Alternative Routes
O Cadramón can be climbed from many combinations of roads on the lower slopes, but the final 3km to the summit are always the same. This is the main road and the easiest to follow, but another nice route is the climb from Lagoa.Nearby Climbs
