Climb Description
Pinos de Gáldar is a scenic pass situated in the high mountains in the heart of Gran Canaria. It is one of several gateways from the north to the south of the island, and can be climbed by a wide variety of routes. The climb from El Pagador is long, but with gradients that never become really steep. It begins by leaving El Pagador on the north coast along the GC-75 road, which you follow through the villages of Moya and Fontanales. The final few kilometres after Fontanales are the most challenging and also the most scenic, with beautiful green countryside and pine forests opening out to offer fine views.
Pinos de Gáldar is usually open throughout the year.
