Climb Description
The climb to Roque Bentayga is not one of the most popular cycling climbs in Gran Canaria, largely because you first have to descend to the small village of El Chorrillo, before climbing back up the same way. It's not a very appealing option for riders who have reached the Aserrador pass with already tired legs!.However, if you feel strong enough, it is well worth the effort. The narrow road is full of twists and turns which are a lot of fun to ride and there are beautiful open views throughout. The volcanic rock formations are particularly impressive - including the distinctive Roque Bentyaga which the climb is named after!
Roque Bentayga is open throughout the year.
