Climb Description
This route follows the GC-550 road, climbing from the town of Aguimes to the Temisas observatory. It's enjoyable to ride, with manageable gradients and impressive rocky scenery throughout, and is part of the lower slopes of the Pico de las Nieves volcano. The climb can be combined with others nearby, such as San Bartolomé or Pico de las Nieves to create a more challenging circular ride. Or it can be ridden as a standalone route, if you would like an easier day in the saddle!
The climb to Temisas is open throughout the year.
Roads & Traffic
The road surface is in fairly good condition. It is all fully paved and fine to ride on a road bike, but is a bit rough in places.
