Climb Description
The ascent from Corvara is the more scenic side of Passo Campolongo, with great views of the Dolomites and the valley around Corvara. The climb forms part of the Sella Ronda route along with Passo Pordoi, Passo Sella and Passo Gardena, which is incredibly popular with cyclists and motorbike riders from all over the world.None of the climbs of the Sella Ronda are particularly challenging, but they are a lot of fun to ride, with sweeping corners and fantastic scenery. Passo Campolongo also regularly stars in the Giro d'Italia race, often softening the legs before tackling a more challenging nearby climb, such as Passo Fedaia or Passo di Giau.
Roads & Traffic
The road surface is in very good condition throughout. The climb gets very busy with cars and motorbikes in July and August, during the rest of the year the traffic is not too bad.
