Towards the top of the climb you ride close to the picturesque Carezza Lake and have views of the spectcular Rosengarten massif.Passo Nigra is best climbed from May to October.
Roads & Traffic
The road surface is generally in very condition, although it is slightly broken in places.
The climb is mostly very quiet. Although it gets slightly busier as you join the main road towards the top. Be careful not to take the SS-241 from Cardano (Bolzano), as there are long tunnels on this road which are not suitable for bicycles.
