Climb Description
Passo Costalunga from Vigo di Fassa is a short and fairly easy cycling climb which links the Dolomites with the city of Bolzano. This side of the climb is most known for its fine views of the Rosengarten massif.There are no real difficulties here for cycle tourists, many of whom opt to continue on to Passo Nigra from the top of the Costalunga. This is best included as part of a longer route.
Passo Costalunga is best climbed from May to October.
Roads & Traffic
The road surface is in very good condition throughout.
The road is not particularly busy, but there is some traffic on it; expect to be passed by a car every minute or so on average.
