Climb Description
Alto Rey is one of the highest road climbs in the Mancha region, situated on the eastern edge of the Sistema Central mountain range. It climbs to a military zone at the top of a mountains which offers views over much of the Guadalajara province. By La Mancha standards it is a picturesque and pleasant climb, although riders more accustomed to the vibrant northern scenery may find the scenery here to be somewhat flat and colorless.Alto Rey is open throughout the year; although short term closures are possible in winter.

The road surface is in good condition throughout and there is little traffic on this climb.

Alternative Routes
There are several ways to reach Alto Rey, although most of them are rolling routes rather than true climbs. There is only one road, however, for the final 4km - from the Alto las Corzas (1,435m).Nearby Climbs
