Climb Description
Coll d'en Claret is a picturesque climb situated between the towns of Valldemossa and Banyalbufar. It can be climbed from various directions, and links up with several other ascents nearby, including es Grau, Valldemossa, Can Costa and Sa GramolaThis ascent begins from the small village of Banyalbufar and, in our opinion, is the most scenic and enjoyable of all the routes. Leaving the famous hillside terraces of Banyalbufar a series of switchbacks take you over the steeper slopes at the beginning of the climb. From there it is more rolling, with beautiful coastal views, before heading inland for the final kick up to the pass.
The route is easy to follow, remaining on the MA-10 road throughout, although there is a left turn after 7km to keep an eye out for. The climb forms part of the Southern Tramuntana Circle - our favourite ride in Mallorca.
The climb to Coll d'en Claret is open throughout the year.
