Climb Description
This climb begins from the coastal village of Port de Valldemossa. The only way to get to the start is to first descend the climb on the MA-1131 road, a couple of kilometres outside the town of Valldemossa.
At the start of the climb there are great views of the coastline, and a nice cafe if you wish to stop for refreshments. The climb itself is fairly gentle to start with, but after a couple of kilometres the switchbacks begin and the gradient hovers close to 8% for a while.
The road is narrow and fun to ride, with precipitous views down to the coast in places. It is a nice climb to include as an out and back extension on a longer route.
Port de Valldemossa is open throughout the year.
There is little traffic on the climb, but you will probably encounter a few cars. Be prepared to give way in places on the narrow road, particularly when descending.
