Climb Description
This is the more challenging side of Agiña, a climb used in the Tour of the Basque Country stage race. The gradients are inconsistent but, although the last kilometre is close to 10%, they never become extremely steep. The good road surface and looping hairpin bends make Agiña a pleasure to ride. It is commonly included with nearby Aritxulegi, which enables you to do a circular route from the Basque Coast. The scenery is pleasant here, with a mixture of forest and pastures. There are no really spectacular views, but this is still one of the most enjoyable climbs to ride in the area.
Agiña is open throughout the year.
