Climb Description
Artigue is a short but challenging climb to a small village situated near the town of Luchon. It is characterized by steady, but steep gradients, with long sections in excess of 10%, and also by the high number of hairpin bends on the lower part of the climb. Most of the climb is in forest and the scenery is pleasant rather than spectacular. However, it occasionally opens up, most notably at a viewpoint near the top of the climb. From here there are fantastic views looking down on Luchon, as well as up to Pico Aneto - the highest mountain in the Pyrenees.
Artigue is open throughout the year.
Roads & Traffic
The road surface is in very good condition throughout, and there is little traffic on the climb.
