Climb Description
Ax-3 Domaines is a fairly short and steep climb up to a ski resort in the French Pyrenees. It has been used as a stage finish several times in the Tour de France; most notably in the 2013 edition when Chris Froome raced clear to victory on his way to winning the overall title. The climb is not the most picturesque in the region. Most of the road is in trees and the village at the top is a typically unattractive ski resort. However, it is an enjoyable enough climb - particularly if you like challenging gradients - and is a nice option to add on to the end of a route if you still have some energy left in the legs.
Ax-3 Domaines is open throughout the year.
