Climb Description
Guzet Neige is one of the highest climbs in the Ariege Pyrenees, with the road ascending to a ski resort. It is a fairly challenging climb, with gradients hovering between 7-8% for much of the way, but it is not especially long for the region. The climb has been used three times in the Tour de France, with stage winners including Robert Millar and the legendary Marco Pantani. However, it last featured in 1995, and has been out of favour since, with other climbs nearby chosen instead.
Guzet Neige is open throughout the year.
Roads & Traffic
The road surface is in good condition throughout and there is little traffic on the climb in the summer. In winter it is busier, particularly at weekends as people drive up to the ski resort.
