Climb Description
Mirador de Chirche is a short, explosive climb which gets steeper and steeper towards the top. There are several sustained sections of close to 20% gradient, which will really test the legs of even the strongest riders. The climb begins from the TF-82 in Guía de Isora. From here you follow the signs to Chirche, arriving at the mirador (viewpoint) a few hundred metres after the village of Chirche. It is a picturesque ascent on the fringes of the Teide National Park. The landscape here is more green than in much of the volcanic National Park, and the climb also passes nearby some of the more traditional villages in this part of the island.
From the top of the climb, it is possible to continue on to El Teide, joining up with the climb that begins in El Teide - Los Gigantes.
