Climb Description
Alto del Tigre is a long and gentle climb that runs roughly parallel to its more famous neighbour - the Port de Tudons. It's a picturesque ascent with some nice views overlooking the Sierra Aitana and the Puigcampana mountain. And at the top you will arrive at Safari Aitana, and see why exactly this climb is named after the tiger!
Roads & Traffic
Alto del Tigre is open and highly enjoyable to climb throughout the whole year.
The road is in very good condition for the first part of the climb. After Relleu, the quality of the surface is variable. At times it becomes slightly broken and bumpy - which is a bit uncomfortable rather than being annoying or dangerous.
It's still perfectly fine to ride on a road bike, just not quite up to the same high standards as most roads in the region!
There can be a few cars on the first part of the climb, although it's certainly not a busy road. After Relleu it becomes extremely quiet.
