Climb Description
This climb from Xaló (Jalón) is one of three main routes into the Bernia mountains and, is probably the most enjoyable to ride. The gradients are gentle and relatively consistent, only very rarely exceeding 10% for short sections. It is also has pleasant scenery, riding through orange, lemon and olive groves, as well as some pine forest. At the top there are fantastic views of the peaks of the Sierra Bernia
The climb to Bernia is open throughout the whole year.
Roads & Traffic
The road surface has been repaved fairly recently and is good condition throughout the climb.
There can be a bit of traffic here at weekends and in high season, but most of the time it is quiet. And even during peak times it is usually not all that bothersome.
