Climb Description
Coll de Rates is one of the most popular cycling climbs in all of Spain. Throughout the year you will find amateurs and professionals alike both testing themselves on the ascent. From Parcent it is quite a short and gentle ascent, but there are many great possibilities to include it in a longer ride.There are beautiful views throughout much of the climb, particularly looking west towards the Costa Blanca and the attractive mountains of the Bernia range.
Coll de Rates is open and highly enjoyable to climb throughout the year.

The road surface is in very good condition throughout and there is little traffic on the climb.
