Climb Description
The climb to Ermita de Sant Antoni is a short and punchy climb from the city of Alcoy. It heads into the Font Roja Natural Park and offers fantastic views of some of the highest peaks in the Alicante province, including Menetjador, Montcabrer and Aitana. It is a great option to include as part of a longer route, as it is located right next to several other nice climbs. The profile is fairly accurate, with some short and steep sections in the last two kilometres, but nothing too extreme. The top of the climb is marked by the Sant Antoni chapel - a nice little landmark which gives you a focal point for the ascent.
The road to Ermita de Sant Antoni is open throughout the whole year.
Roads & Traffic
The road surface is in excellent condition throughout the climb. There is some traffic on the first kilometre as you ride through the city of Alcoy, but it is slow moving and
not very bothersome. Once you leave Alcoy the road is almost completely empty.

Alternative Routes
Ermita de Sant Antoni can also be reached from the south. This is a shorter and more inconsistent ascent though, with some flatter sections. It also has a poor road surface in places with potholes and so care should be taken if you plan to descend that way.Nearby Climbs
