Climb Description
El Garbí is a hugely popular cycling climb in the Sierra Calderona Natural Park. It is the nearest significant climb to the city of Valencia (less than 40km from the center) and several hundred riders climb it each week. There are several other nice climbs in the area which makes it a good option to include as part of a longer route. The climb from Tochar is the easiest of the the four main ascents, with consistently gentle gradients. It first passes the Port d'Oronet - climbed in recent editions of the Vuelta a España - before reaching the attractive mirador at the top of the climb. The scenery is pleasant, with particularly nice views along the switchbacks on the lower part of the climb.
El Garbí is open and is enjoyable to climb throughout the year.
