Climb Description

The climb of Port de Beniarrés is a fairly short and gentle climb situated on the border of the provinces of Alicante and Valencia. This is the slightly more challenging of the two sides, but it is still relatively easy, and no problem for riders in reasonable shape.

The climbs sits in the shadow of the impressive Benicaldell mountain and marks a change of landscape. It begins in the flatter plains of the Valencia region, filled with fruit orchards. It ends in the much more mountainous province of Alicante - where olives and almonds are more common on the steeper hillsides.

The climb to Port de Beniarrés is open throughout the whole year.

Roads & Traffic

The road is in excellent condition throughout, and there is very little traffic on the climb.
